Smartproxy Proxy Checker
Smartproxy routes residential traffic through a gateway endpoint and datacenter proxies through a pool of static IPs. Paste your gateway with credentials to confirm the exit IP and targeting, or paste static IPs line by line for individual validation. You get alive status, latency, exit country, ISP, and type for every proxy so you know your Smartproxy setup is working before your scraper runs.
Proxy Checker
Paste your proxy list and get instant health diagnostics, geo info, and anonymity detection.
| Status | Proxy | Protocol | Exit IP | Country | Type | ASN | ISP | Latency | Flags |
|---|
Target URL Proxy Check NEW
Test proxies against a specific target URL. Find out which ones actually work for scraping your target, not just which ones are alive. Detects WAF blocks (Cloudflare, DataDome, Akamai, Imperva, PerimeterX) and CAPTCHAs.
| Status | Proxy | Protocol | HTTP | Latency | Block Reason |
|---|
Port Scanner
Scan any host for open ports. Checks 22 common service ports by default, or specify your own.
| Port | Status | Service | Latency |

Ping
Measure round-trip latency to any host. Returns min/avg/max and packet loss percentage.
My IP
See your public IP address, location, ISP, and whether you're detected as a proxy or datacenter.
IP Lookup
Look up geolocation, ISP, and metadata for any IP address.
Scrape Audit
Paste any URL to detect bot protection, CAPTCHA, JS rendering requirements, and get a scrapeability score.

Frequently asked questions
How do I test Smartproxy residential proxies?
Smartproxy residential uses a gateway host and port with a username that encodes session type and optionally a country. Paste it as host:port:user:pass and the checker reports the exit IP and country, confirming your targeting parameters are set correctly.
How do I test Smartproxy datacenter proxies?
Datacenter plans give you a list of IPs. Paste them one per line with your credentials and each gets checked individually for alive status, latency, and exit location.
My Smartproxy exit country is wrong, what happened?
Country targeting in Smartproxy is encoded in the username. If the exit IP lands in the wrong country, the parameter syntax is off. The checker shows you the actual exit country so you can compare and fix the username format.
Can I bulk-check a large Smartproxy list?
The free tier checks 50 proxies per run. A one-time $5 unlock covers up to 5,000, and npx proxychecker-dev list.txt does the same from your terminal with CSV output.
