Free Proxy Checker

Check proxies for free with no account and nothing to install. Paste up to 50 proxies per run and get back real results: alive or dead, latency, country, ISP, and whether each exit IP is datacenter, residential, or mobile. Most free proxy checkers are ad-riddled or shady desktop binaries, this one runs in the browser and just gives you the numbers.

Live checking is discontinued

ProxyChecker.dev no longer runs proxy checks, the API, MCP tools or paid plans. Nothing on this site tests a proxy anymore. The guides below still explain how proxy testing works and what to look for.

Frequently asked questions

Is this proxy checker actually free?

Yes. The web tool checks 50 proxies per run with no account, no card, and no time limit. Paid tiers exist only for bulk API use and larger lists, but casual checking stays free forever.

Do I have to download anything?

No. It runs entirely in the browser and calls a hosted API to test each proxy. There's no binary to install, which also means nothing to scan for malware, a common problem with free desktop proxy checkers.

How many proxies can I check for free?

50 per run. If you paste more, the free tier checks the first 50 and shows real results for those, and a $5 one-time pack covers 5,000 more if you need them.

Why do the free public proxies I find keep dying?

Public proxy lists are scraped from open servers that get overloaded or IP-banned within hours. A checker tells you which are still alive right now, but the honest answer is that free public proxies are unreliable by nature, paid proxies last far longer.
